· To reconcile book and bank transaction data in order to ensure cash and security transactions are in agreement with system of record (such as portfolio accounting system, corporate general ledger).
· To research, analyze and ensure resolution of exception items through communication with internal and external entities in an accurate and timely manner in order to reduce financial exposure to our clients and company.
Performance standards
· Reconcile and balance cash and positions relating to client and corporate activity versus Custodian and Other Records
· Validate completeness and accuracy of reconciliation data feeds. Create necessary correcting entries in accordance with approved department processes and procedures.
· Analyze data received from various accounting and bookkeeping systems.
· Coordinate resolution of various cash and security breaks, such as trades, corporate actions, dividends in a timely manner though use of effective communication skills.
